It’s that time again: the much-anticipated launch of our annual Free Publishing Contest. Manuscripts from writers across Canada are about to begin pouring in! Our judges are itching to get their hands on this year’s batch of contest manuscripts, and we hope to see yours among them!
Every year, we select two manuscripts from the cream of the crop and publish them free of charge! Free cover design, free editing, free typeset, free marketing and distribution opportunities: this could all be yours!
We’re looking for skillfully written Christian manuscripts that have never been published before. We select one non-fiction and one fiction manuscript each year. Our winners have been selected from a wide range of subject matters over the years: autobiography, self-help books, theological studies , historical fiction, sci-fi, young adult fiction, and contemporary… these are just a few of the subject matters from our past winners. If you’re not sure if your manuscript fits our subject matter requirements, ask me! Send all contest questions to amy (a) wordalivepress.ca.
While we’re only able to select two winners every year, our heart in this contest is to encourage Canadian Christians to keep writing and working on their manuscripts. All contest entrants will be offered feedback once the winners have been announced. This is your opportunity to receive tips on what areas of your writing could be improved, and what areas you excel at. This is an incredibly valuable opportunity to see what a panel of professionals in the publishing industry think of your writing!
A select number of winners will receive special secondary prizes in the form of marketing opportunities and credit towards publishing.
Our contest runs from March 4 to May 31, 2016. Click here to learn more about our contest and find out how you can enter to win a free publishing contract from us!
