My Canada: Security
By Steven Stoffelsen
There are so many words that one can use to describe Canada. I wanted to think of one that would be unique. Since I am a Canadian citizen living abroad, I have come to appreciate my country more than ever. I visit Canada each year for three months and I must admit that what stands out to me is the security and safety of the nation.
I live in Guatemala a country that is filled with violence and corruption. As a Christian, living in God’s will we are secure. We are under His protection (Psalm 91). We don’t live in fear, but we are aware of the dangers that are around us.
In Canada, you can walk the streets securely. It’s not relatively dangerous. There is a peace that you can walk in the middle of the night and you will be fine. It is a great blessing to have this sense of security.
We truly are blessed to have such a great Country, Canada. Praise God for the 150 years that He has given us. “God keep our land, Glorious & Free”
